MyLDS

MyLDS stands for Malaysia Leadership Development Seminar and it's the most anticipated conference of the year!

The first 2 days were allocated for Pre- MyLDS, where we come up with cheers and learn our LC Square dance. At the same time some bonding within the LC itself. All kinds of games and simulation are being conducted.

Some Japanese Man Force Motivation Song

On the third day, MyLDS officially started with the introduction of the facilitators team, the briefing of agenda and the division of the delegates into team. The agenda includes Entrepreneurship Simulation, talks by AIESEC partners, Discussion of global issues and last but not least fun games!

I was being elected as the leader of my team, and I'd learned or realize a few things myself. =) I'd always thought that leaders are just people who got lucky, but I was wrong. What I'd thought to be easy turn out not so easy.

We had this entrepreneurship Simulation where we're suppose to develop a product and sell it. At first we were doing quite well until at the end we were required to merge into a whole lot sum of people working on a task. Things got messy as the group got bigger, it got harder to handle.

Till then only I'd realize, I have much more to learn about leadership and people + task management. For this alone, I find it all worth it to cramp my schedule to make time for this conference =).

The last event that I attended would be the global village, but it didn't end there.
I missed out the Christmas Party, Mock Malaysia Comittee Election and also the AMAN Night (One Night Stand, phewwit!!); All the good stuff =(

Global Village: Brazil (LC USM)

MyLDS is my first national conference and this conference alone, I'd met and work with more people then I had for the past few years =).

L.E.A.D

L.E.A.D (Leadership, Exploration and Development) was my first ever AIESEC conference. It was a 3 days 2 night conference at Bantalay, 5 minutes walk from home. LOL!

INTRODUCTION NIGHT
The conference officially started with an introduction act by the facilitating team.
Ice Breaking

After that we were randomly sort into groups and given limited time to come up with cheers, roll calls, group name and group logo. We're suppose to come up with quite a number of roll calls, it really squeeze every creativity out of us. =.= But oh well, it really put all of us together as a team and work.

Presenting our Group
At night itself, we had sculling competition and Inspector Game! The two games I realize present in most conference. Back then it was the first time I heard of those games.

Sculling
(Eating Race- not normal food)
Inspector Game's really interesting! The facilitators will act out scenes following a murder. And we're suppose to solve the murder by linking the scen
es together. REAL COOL STUFF!

---End of Intro Night--

In LEAD we were further exposed to team work and self exploration which we often overlooked or didn't bother improving on. There were entrepreneur simulations, personality test (very interesting) and different slots of interactive classes where we were taught on different thing.

Signing up for classes the night before

One of the classes I remembered attending was How to be a good salesperson conducted by K.Y. There are few more which I don't remember. (ARGH!! Consequences of delaying a post for 9 months: It's 15/6/2011 today, but I modified the date post to organize my blog posts better)

The inevitable Square Dances
Sugar Cubes
How it works: Write encouragements or any note to anyone you feel like writing it to and put into their envelope. A good time to confess your love too, because they would never know who you are if you don't want them to know! ( Kidding hehe..)

We had this angel mortal mechanism, where the angel will take care of the mortal. It aims to bring warmth to the camp, as to everyone is far away from home (excluding me).

Me and My guardian angel
I couldn't find the photo of me and my mortal, Yoke Ying. XD

If you would like to know more feel free to check out the photo album links I'd provided below, as to picture speaks a thousand word.

Hope to see you there too!
